The Communication Applications Quality Engineering team is seeking an experienced and passionate software quality manager to take our automated testing to the next level. Our teams design and engineer the communication cornerstones of iOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS for: FaceTime, Mail, Messages and Phone applications. We're looking for critical thinkers to play a key role qualifying Apple's software releases and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. We need someone who is comfortable working in an exciting environment with rapidly changing priorities, and someone creative and inspired to invent new ways to help build better products!

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience crafting, maintaining, and driving tests plans at all application layers.
  • 5+ years experience with blackbox testing.
  • 2+ years experience leading projects or running a quality assurance team including planning and running white box and automated testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through people and across an organization, forming relationships, collaborating with and influencing multi-functional teams.
  • Excellent multi-functional communication and influence skills.
  • Able to deep dive into technical areas when needed but also ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Python, Swift, Objective C, Splunk.
  • Working experience applying Continuous Integration concepts and streamlined delivery of code.
  • Proven track record demonstrating the ability to fulfill project results on time.
  • Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge.
  • Use of quality metrics to drive team goals.


Description

You will drive planning, crafting, maintaining and performing automated test cases and supporting the corresponding tools. You will work to identify, reproduce and isolate bugs found through concise bug reporting. Excellent interpersonal skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams and other organizations within Apple. You will need to be highly technical, organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400.00 and $316,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
