Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Details:

During the Summer Shutdown, the plant takes advantage of the downtime to work on equipment offline so as not to affect production or impact food safety. We have several major projects that we will be commissioning or starting during this shutdown that would be a great learning experience for an Engineer.

    Snacks Packaging
  1. Boiler Make Up Water Tank/Blowdown Separator
  2. Tube-in-Tube Heat Exchanger Upgrade for Blancher Cooker
  3. Wheat Burrito Auto Folder
  • This individual will work with Engineering team to schedule project implementation, manage budget, secure materials and resources.
  • They will ensure contractors are working safely during install, commission and training of warehouse operators and maintenance.
  • They will address challenges and roadblocks, define spare parts, project in-service and closure.
  • Project mentorship with the Senior Corporate Project Manager.
  • Some travel will be involved between our Northpoint and Dutton locations.

EDUCATION

  • Attending four-year college or university to attain an Engineering Bachelor's degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering; or already awarded Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, project leadership, analytical, and reasoning skills.
  • Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Mechanical and safety aptitude, some electrical understanding of utilities (medium voltage) is ideal, strong communication skills, time management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suites Office or Smartsheet's.
  • AutoCAD experience.

SKILLS

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

- Valid driver's license

TRAVEL

Some travel between our Dutton & Northpoint locations.

Compensation range for the Santa Rosa, CA area:

$17.40-23.00 per hour
