Job Description

We are looking for a VP of Engineering that will lead a team responsible for the design for high speed fiber optic transceivers from definition, design, bring-up, and test up to production readiness.

What You Will Do

  • Mentor and manage global development teams of hardware designers, firmware engineers, photonic integration specialists, test engineers and component engineers
  • Lead optical transceiver development from definition, design, and testing for production readiness
  • Manage critical risk and conflict resolution including making key risk/reward decisions
  • Interface with key customers to represent the company, address technical questions, issues and support design wins
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers in line with project objectives
  • Improve and implement hardware development flows consistent with Molex's product development process
  • Develop and manage annual R&D operating plans and budgets
  • Interface with broader engineering teams across the company to incorporate best engineering practices

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Experience leading teams
  • Hardware development leadership experience in Telecom or Datacom industry
  • Experience with optic hardware, transceiver or transport hardware development
