Job Description
The Division of Undergraduate Education (UE) engages students and instructors with resources that promote academic excellence, enable student success, and enhance the undergraduate student experience. The incumbent reports to the Director of the Center for Undergraduate Research & Engaged Learning, who oversees a portfolio that includes high-impact educational programs including student-led courses, undergraduate research, experiential learning, prestigious scholarships, and leadership development. The incumbent is highly effective, with proven skills in enhancing, evaluating, marketing, and scaling existing programs; has outstanding organizational, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities; and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. The incumbent will collaborate with off-campus partners, UE personnel, colleges, associate deans, academic senate committees, faculty members, student affairs managers, academic advisors, and other campus colleagues to implement high-impact educational programs that promote student engagement and academic excellence. These include, but are not limited to EXCEL + Career Readiness, Campus Collective Mentorship Program, Community Engaged and Service Learning, leadership development programming, and other emergent programming in relevant areas. Requires a thorough understanding and sensitivity to the issues and challenges faced by higher education in the state and nation, and UC Riverside, which is an institution designated as an MSI, HSI, HSRI, AANAPISI, and serves a significant Pell Grant and first-generation student population.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
