Responsibilities
    Contribute to feasibility studies by identifying suitable remedial technologies, creating remedial options, and conducting comprehensive evaluations of these options.
  • Estimate engineering costs for various remediation alternatives.
  • Collaborate on engineering design, specifications, contractor selection, and project bidding.
  • Supervise the construction, commissioning, and execution of remedial actions while producing as-built drawings and construction completion reports.
  • Develop and implement work plans for site investigation and remediation activities.
  • Manage ongoing operation and maintenance of remediation systems, including soil vapor extraction, groundwater pump and treat, stormwater pre-treatment, and sub-slab vapor mitigation.
  • Compile cleanup action reports, engineering documentation, and project permit requirements.
Qualifications
  • 8-12 years of hands-on experience in environmental investigation and cleanup projects.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Professional engineering registration (P.E.) in the state of California is REQUIRED
  • Certification in 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with an up-to-date annual refresher.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong practical problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse project team.

The pay range for this California position is $120,000.00- $145,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
