Company Overview

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Northern Division Vision Statement: Motivated by the love of God, as a leader in Christian faith-based human services, The Salvation Army is committed to serve the whole person, body, soul and spirit with integrity and respect, using creative solutions to positively transform lives.

Adult Rehabilitation Centers are the residential, drug and alcohol treatment units of the Salvation Army. Program participants come through all walks of life and through voluntary and judicial system referrals. The San Francisco program is available for both men and women between the ages of 18 – 65 and is offered to individuals at no charge. The ARC recognizes that the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the individual must be addressed before real progress can be achieved. The ARC offers a comprehensive program that includes counseling, work therapy and spiritual development.

This program is funded by private donations and the money earned from the sale of donated items in the Thrift Stores. The San Francisco ARC collects donations and has stores in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties. The Thrift Stores with their wide range of merchandise attract a broad customer base which includes cost conscious consumers, resale dealers, green /recycling advocates and savvy bargain hunters. Great prices and exceptional customer service makes TSA Thrift Stores leaders in the resale industry.
